Discovery Bible Study Questions
What is a DBS?
Easily reproducible application-focused Bible discussions. Ideally, evangelistic groups for faith-beginners and non-Christians.
They start as small as 2 or 3 and rarely grow larger than 6-8. They meet anywhere, at any time, usually for about an hour.

How does a DBS benefit those in the group?
- Many people want to obey God more but need encouragement to do so. It is one thing to know the right thing to do, and another to do it. The group meeting and group members motivate obedience.
- As group members commit to Jesus, they can easily join a Gospel Community for further fellowship & growth. They also have the skills to begin their own evangelistic bible study if/when they invite others to join.
- Groups are easy to lead. Even brand-new believers could lead! Just ask simple, open-ended questions each week.
- Multiplication is a clear goal. Leaders encourage and challenge group members to start their groups.
- Leadership development is built into the strategy. Being in a group trains you to start and lead a new group. Little pre-training is needed. You build your own downline (generational tree) and grow in your leadership as you do it.
