Meet the team

Growing up in Southern California, David loves surfing, sports and the outdoors. He has a Masters in Theology from Gateway Seminary and had 10 years of experience in ministry before planting Compass. David is married to Jessica, and they are raising three boys.

Jessica was born and raised in San Diego, where she got her degree in ministry from PLNU. Jessica served in college ministry for 7 years alongside David before they started Compass Church. She enjoys connecting with women of all ages, playing volleyball, and getting into books & movies.

Cameron grew up in Colorado enjoying the mountains & music. He graduated from Colorado State with a BA in Early Childhood Education & Cameron served on staff in college ministry at CSU for 4 years, along with his wife Shanni. They are raising 3 children.

Shanni was raised in Colorado, where she met Cameron at Colorado State University, studying Early Childhood Education. Shanni is the friend you've always wanted! She cares deeply for people & makes all things run smoothly at Compass. She loves meeting with women over coffee, playing games, & spending time with her kids.

Andrew grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and studied Sport Management at the University of Florida where he met his wife, Alexa. He has a passion for teaching and loves connecting with others over watching sports, playing disc golf, and eating good food!

Alexa was raised in Tampa, Florida and studied Physiology at the University of Florida. She moved to San Diego with her husband, Andrew, and loves exploring the city. Alexa loves meeting new people, playing board games with friends, and experiencing new cultures and foods!
